Swede Energy has received an order of SEK 4.7 million for stage two to Karlskrona Solpark, which will be Sweden’s largest solar park. The company has also won the procurement of solar cell installation at the new construction of Örebro University Hospital worth SEK 3.4 million.
Karlskrona Solpark is Sweden’s first solar cell facility on a refilled dump. In this way, green solar energy is produced on otherwise unusable land. The solar cell plant is being built in stages and is estimated to be 6 megawatts when it is finished, which will be Sweden’s largest. Affärsverken Energi AB, which is Karlskrona’s energy company, has chosen Swede Energy as supplier of the plant and has now called off stage two which is expected to be completed in autumn 2019.
Swede Energy has also won the procurement of a solar cell installation on the new construction of Örebro University Hospital (ÖSU) to a value of SEK 3.4 million. It is the region of Örebro with NCC as a turnkey contractor who is carrying out a reconstruction of the ÖSU worth SEK 2.2 billion, which selected Swede Energy as its contractor for solar cell installations. They demand extremely high demands on its contractor that the plant should be safe and function in a hospital environment. The plant is expected to produce 300,000 kWh of green electricity and all produced electricity will be used in new campuses and in the hospital. The solar cell installation is expected to be completed in the autumn of 2019 well in advance of the inauguration of the new ÖSU 2020.
