Frederic Telander, CEO SolTech Energy, comments:
- Working with integrated solar energy solutions has always been central to SolTech’s fundamental business concept. We are now proud and gladdened that one of the world’s leading companies within the aluminum product market has chosen SolTech as its exclusive supplier. There are truly exciting business possibilities with, above all, our semi-transparent solar cell, SolTech ST, inbuilt in everything from Sapa’s aluminum profiles for windows and doors – to glass roofs, awnings, and railings. We are convinced that within the near future this type of product will become a self-evident means of energy production.
Johan Strand, CEO of Sapa Building Systems AB, comments:
- This co-operation opens the way for modern construction. Integrating silicon solar cells at a reasonable cost has proven difficult; nor are they transparent. SolTech’s unique semi-transparent thin-film solar cells, coupled with Sapa’s building system solutions in aluminum, make it possible to create attractive, innovative, and environmentally responsive projects. The demand for this is climbing strongly and we look forward to a rewarding co-operation with SolTech.

The assortment of suitable glass also includes unique thin-film solar cells in black and/or semi-transparent glass – or as isolated glass modules in various sizes and formats that allow for esthetic integration with a building’s outer shell.
